The Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum is one of the few of its kind in the world and the first museum to focus primarily on Greek jewelry art. Among other things, the museum displays 50 collections designed by Ilias Lalaounis, the founder of the museum. Ilias Lalaounis was a jeweler and artist and became world-famous for his production of luxurious gold jewelry.
The Museum acts as an international centre for jewelry and decorative crafts, with an emphasis on silver and goldsmithing as well as contemporary studio jewelry.
