What awaits you

The 48-hour Athens hop-on-hop-off bus ticket includes city tours on board a modern double-decker bus with an informative audio commentary in 14 languages. The open roof gives you a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Hop on and off as often as you like!

Three different routes are available for the hop-on hop-off city tour, allowing you to visit all of Athens’ fascinating attractions, the harbour, the city of Piraeus and the magnificent southern suburb of Glyfada. You can start and end the city tour at any stop – use the stops that are convenient for you.

The Athens Route starts at Syntagma Square

For the Piraeus & Riviera bus line (combined line), buses depart from bus stop no. 4 "Acropolis" (Interchange)

Good to know

Summer departure times:
Daily: 8.45 am – 5.15 pm approximately every 30 minutes (bus route through Athens). The buses on the Piraeus and Riviera lines depart from the Acropolis at 9.55 am, 12.25 pm and 2.55 pm. You can find the exact times and stops here.
Winter departure times:
The times for the hop-on hop-off buses change in winter. The tour departs every day from the bus stop 1 Syntagma Square at 8.45 am. The last bus leaves here at 4.15 pm. For more information, see the full timetable.

The staff are available daily from 8.45 am to 5.15 pm at Syntagma Square in front of the post office on Mitropoleos Street. You can recognise the staff by their uniform: yellow T-shirt or jacket with the "Athens Open Tour" logo on the back and a yellow tie or scarf.
Please note: Routes may change slightly from time to time and may also be adapted at short notice to current events.
Cruise ship guests benefit from special departure times
The tours take place daily, except on 17 November.
