Much of what was unearthed during the construction of the metro is on display today. And yet Athens is a lively, liveable and modern city. Or your ticket to modernity: the hop-on hop-off bus takes you all over the city, and you can also discover the coast on a day trip to the offshore islands. Athens is simply a city to marvel at, and your Athens City Pass gives you every opportunity to explore this amazing city as you wish.
Validity: The pass is activated on the first day selected at the time of booking, ensuring it aligns with the planned travel dates for a smooth and coordinated experience. The Athens City Pass must be used within 12 months after the date of purchase. Each included attraction can be visited once. Once you start using the pass, the validity of the passes cannot be extended or paused. Even if the validity period coincidentally includes the closing day of a museum. The services included in the Athens City Pass can be used/visited once in whatever order during the validity period of your City Pass. For some tours and admissions, reservations are required or the ticket must be received at the redemption point. Everything is kept easy and the information, contacts and addresses are described in the attachment to your City Pass.

NOTE: Acropolis - Season tickets: Reservations for the Acropolis in the respective season (summer / winter) are possible approximately two weeks before April 1st (for the summer months) and before November 1st (for the winter months). You will therefore receive your documents at the latest one to two weeks before the date you have chosen for your visit to the Acropolis. The Acropolis is generally accessible free of charge on the 1st Sunday of the month (from November to March), 6 March, 18 April, 18 May, 28 October and on the last weekend of September - please note that there may be a larger number of visitors on this day.
Inclusive one day cruise with pick up round trip service: If you have chosen the one day cruise, you will receive a ticket for the tour with exact details with your booking. Please read the information carefully. Reserve your place 3 days in advance and hand in your ticket on departure. Telephone number and e-mail address are indicated on the ticket. Please state your pick-up location. The provider will pick you up in the morning and bring you back in the evening. Due to local conditions (e.g. narrow streets), the bus may not be able to drive directly to your hotel, but may pick you up and drop you off nearby. You will receive this information when you make your reservation. The pick up round trip service is already included in your booked ticket. You can use the ticket for the Athens One Day Cruise flexibel (after reservation) within 12 months and independent from your pass.
Acropolis Combined Ticket: The Acropolis Combined Ticket is included in the Athens City Pass. With the Acropolis Combined Ticket you can visit the following attractions once: Acropolis with north and south slopes, Ancient Agora & Stoa of Attalos, Roman Agora, Hadrian’s Library, Lykeion, Temple of Olympic Zeus (Olympieion) & Kerameikos. You don’t have to wait in line at the ticket office to buy your ticket, you can go directly to one of the entrance gates of any Acropolis entrance with your ticket. The famous Acropolis: You can visit the Acropolis and the historical sites comfortably with your Acropolis Combined Ticket. The Acropolis and its areas are included in the Athens City Pass. You can visit each attraction on the Acropolis area once. This ticket is valid for five consecutive days. EU-citizens up to the age of 25 have free admission. The "free ticket" is available at the exchange point or at the cash desks. (Please show ID). For Non-EU citizens older than 6 years admission fees may be charged. Please inform yourself at the ticket office about the cheapest tariff. "New Acropolis Museum" and "Acropolis": Those two attractions are two different institutions. The New Acropolis Museum is located close to the entrance to the Acropolis site. The Acropolis Museum is included in all pass options with free admission for all days of pass validity. The new Acropolis Museum is considered one of the best museums in the world. The Athens City Pass includes the entrance fee for all adults to the Acropolis Museum. Children and teens under the age of 18 from EU countries are generally entitled to free admission. For children aged 5-18 years from non-EU countries entrance fees of 3€ (winter) and 5€ (summer) will apply at the entrance.
Hop-On Hop-Off tour Athens: Your Athens City Pass includes the Hop-on Hop-off bus tours through Athens, Piraeus and Glyfada with free audio commentary. The Hop-on-hop-off city tours are offered over 3 different routes. You can explore Athens attractions, the port and city of Piraeus and the southern suburb of Glyfada. For 48 hours you can switch between these routes as often as you like and get on and off at all stops. Please show your Athens City Pass to an employee of the bus provider. Your Athens City Pass will show you where to pick up your bus ticket and provides you with further information.

Opening hours: Please note the opening hours, closing times at short notice and any conditions of use that apply to individual attractions. Most attractions are closed on 24.12. (Christmas Eve). Some museums and sights may be closed at short notice for technical or organisational reasons or for renovation purposes. Please check the attraction’s website for more information. Children and teenagers: The Athens City Pass is designed for typical city travellers (25 years and older) who want to see a lot in a short time and save time and money. We offer discounted rates for people aged 6-17. Please note that children and teenagers under the age of 18 sometimes require proof of age (passport or identity card).
City maps: A printed city map of Athens is available for free at Athens Airport in displays or in the arrivals area. You can also get a city map and travel guide of Athens in many hotels and tourist facilities in the city centre of Athens for free.
