The Museo Galileo in Florence is a real gem for science enthusiasts and history lovers. In the venerable halls of Palazzo Castellani, a building with centuries of history, the museum houses one of the most important collections of scientific instruments in the world.

The exhibition extends over two floors and presents more than 1000 fascinating exhibits. On the ground floor, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of the Medici collections, while the upper floor is dedicated to the scientific achievements of the Lorraine dynasty.

The original telescopes of Galileo Galilei are undoubtedly a special highlight. With these groundbreaking instruments, the famous scientist discovered the moons of Jupiter and revolutionised our understanding of the universe.

Equally impressive is the monumental armillary sphere by Antonio Santucci, a masterpiece of precision and craftsmanship from the late 16th century. The museum not only offers historical artefacts, but also modern, interactive exhibitions. These vividly convey the development of science from the Renaissance to the modern age. Visitors of all ages can experiment here and explore the fundamentals of various scientific principles.
