St Michael’s Church, one of the city’s five main churches, is one of Hamburg’s architectural landmarks with its striking dome. Not only can you admire one of the most important baroque churches in northern Germany here, you also have a great view over the whole city from the viewing platform. Inside, the "(Hamburg) Michel" has a lot to offer: five organs, a 20 metre high altar and a baptismal font from 1763. In the crypt, you will find an exhibition on the building history of St Michael’s.
