Visit the Museu Diocesà de Mallorca on the premises of the Bishop’s Palace. The exhibition space is divided into seven sections, with works on display ranging from the first signs of Christianity on the island to the 20th century. The permanent exhibition consists of 200 artefacts from convents, monasteries, churches and private donations, offering a historical journey through the Christianity of Mallorca. On display are archaeological finds, Gothic and modernist paintings and sculptures, ceramics, furniture and a room dedicated to Antonio Gaudí and Pere Joan Campins, which was inaugurated in 2004. A highlight of the exhibition is an altarpiece from the 16th century, designed by Pere Niçard, which shows the medieval Ciutat de Malloarca in the background.
