Beautifully situated, the address of Palma Cathedral is characterised by its proximity to the water. Only the Parc de La Mar lies between the cathedral and the sea. The cathedral, popularly known as La Seu, impresses with its stylistic blend of Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance and Modernism. Built from 1230 by King Jaume I in the Gothic style, it has been continuously built and extended over the centuries. As a result, the styles of the different eras also come together inside the church. The round window (rose window), glazed in 1599, is one of the largest rose windows in the world. Among many artists from different eras, Antoni Gaudí also left his mark by designing the presbytery, for example.
