An open-air festival right in the middle of the city that is both loved by the public and takes place on a unique stage: the 7th Munich Open Air Summer festival! This amazing festival takes place from August 7-24 on the Brunnenhof of the Munich Residence. Just like lederhosen and the Oktoberfest, this open-air festival has always been a fixed component to a proper Bavarian summer. From rock, pop, opera, jazz, classical, and fold music, this concert has something to offer for every musical preference.
For example, the HerbstPixner Project will grace the stage of this open-air festival with its unique mix of traditional alpine music, flamenco, gypsy-jazz, blues, rock, and world music.
Naturally 7, Peter Kraus, Marianne Sägebrecht (who performs the cult piece, “Der Brandner Kasper und das ewig’ Leben”), and many other performers will also perform.
Carmina Burana, Vivaldi, La Notte Italiana and a “Summer Night of Film Music” are other highlights. A balmy summer night, excellent shows, and outstanding acoustics will guarantee you a very special experience.
The times and prices vary depending on the event. Please visit the official website of the Kulturgipfel to pick out the perfect event to take part of. On their website, you will find more detailed information about concert dates and other events.
