The park railway in Munich's Olympic Park is a popular attraction that appeals to visitors of all ages. It was opened in 1972 on the occasion of the Olympic Games in Munich and has been an integral part of the park's leisure programme ever since. The train runs over a distance of around 2.5 kilometres and offers a picturesque ride through the green park landscape, past various sights, including the Olympic Lake and the Olympic Stadium.
The trains are usually made up of small, colourful carriages that offer space for families and groups. The rides are not only a fun way to explore the park, but also a relaxing way to enjoy nature. During the peak season from May to October, the trains run regularly and also offer special events and themed rides.
