I can only recommend Munich, the old town offers an absolutely rustic atmosphere. The sights could all be visited with the City Pass. Worth a visit again at any time
Great drinks in the Pusser's New York Bar at Falkenturmstrasse 9
The city pass was very useful. You can use all the local transport and go everywhere.
The Munich card for groups (even if there are only 2 of you) is excellent value for money. Munich has a great transport system and this card is a great way to get from the airport and travel around the city. We used this card to arrange our own transport rather the pay twice for organised tours. Dachau is an easy trip to make under your own steam using the Munich card and entry to the site is free! Discount also can be applied to certain attractions. Erding spa was a great place to unwind late on a Saturday evening.
We ordered the Munich Card online for 3 days as a group. Our hotel was a bit out of the way and so we could easily explore the city with the underground / S-Bahn.
We used the Munich Card as a group, booked online, and were very satisfied, as we were able to use all public transport at will for a very low price. That was a huge time saver. I can only recommend the Munich Card and will definitely use it again the next time I visit Munich.
We mainly used the Munich Card for trams, underground trains and S-Bahn trains and were completely satisfied. We were also impressed by the other options the Munich Card offers. Unfortunately we could not use them because we had already planned the days in Munich. We will definitely use the Munich Card again on our next visit to Munich. Thank you very much
Plus discounts to a few museums (we visited them) and probably other places.
Tip: you might need to go to/from the airport only for the first/last day of your visit, so for those days consider buying an expensive version that allows free travel near the airport. For the other days your might buy a cheaper version.
Love the art museums in Munich, especially the Lenbachhaus. The Asamkirche is also a gem.
Great way to get around Munich. Used the City Pass to get from Airport to Hotel in central Munich. Used on all transport - trams, buses & both U -Bahn/S-Bahn. Great way to get around easily
Just easy to get on and off all local transport and get some discount on some sights. Do your own math based on your projected number of sights to see whether the card or pass will work better for you.
A great method of travelling on all aspects of the munchen transport system trams buses etc on a pay online or at kiosks around the network, if made fully automatic by online only it would save many many euros.
I purchased the Munchen City Pass from Turbopass, in the knowledge that I was staying in a Hotel in Munchen Messe on the Eastern side of the City.
Daily, we took a small bus journey, then the S,Bhan to the Haupftbhanhoff, and on one occasion when there was disruption on the S Bhan, a tram and train on the U.Bhan. ALL of these journeys were covered by the City Pass.
We were waived through by the Bus Drivers and Ticket Inspectors.
I would highly reccomend the Pass for anyone staying in Munich.

Great value for money and booked on line
This is a must have for Munich. Just for the fact that it's all your transportation. ( train and bus) Super easy to use because you have just one paper ( or use smart phone) for your entire trip. Includes cost of great places also. Buy This pass.
In the centre - easily accesible- a collection of crown jewels spanning 900 years - furniture - pictures - and the history that goes with it. The Pass gives a discount but a combination ticket is not included in the discount. The sight seeing bus is good but the commentary is often out of sync
The pass is absolutely fantastic and worth every penny
