The Alpine Museum of the German Alpine Club is located on the Praterinsel in Munich and has been providing information about mountaineering and the relationship between people and mountains for over 100 years. In addition to the permanent exhibition ‘The History of Alpinism’, there are also changing special exhibitions that focus on specific themes or artists.
