More than 70 aircraft, along with engines and models, tell the story of aviation history in the Flugwerft. Explore these fascinating developments from the Lilienthal glider to the Eurofighter, from the flying boat to the rocket. In the historic maintenance hangar from 1918, aircraft were once repaired and maintained – today you can marvel at the historical exhibits here. And in the new exhibition hall, you will find fantastic exhibits such as helicopters and rockets.

Exhibitions at the Flugwerft Schleißheim

Here you can learn everything about the different aspects of flying. Whether civil aviation or military use, whether helicopters, VTOL aircraft or historical aircraft, here you can immerse yourself in the dream of flying and everything related to it. From the historical airport buildings to the ‘transparent workshop’ to the radio station and weather station, you will get an insight into really all areas that play a role in flying.

    Daily 9 am to 5 pm 
  • Closed on the following holidays: 1 January; Shrove Tuesday; Good Friday; 1 May; 1 November; 24, 25 and 31 December 
  • Reduced opening hours: In March and November, on the second Wednesday of the month from 9 am to 1 pm
