Find out more about Jewish history and culture in Munich at the permanent exhibition ‘Voices, Places, Times’. Seven installations use media such as the voices of contemporary witnesses, videos, photographs and objects to open up Jewish history, culture and religion. This helps visitors to understand Munich’s Jewish history as an integral part of the city’s history. The Saarbrücken architects Wandel Hoefer Lorch created the architectural ensemble of synagogue, museum and community centre in the heart of Munich in 2006 and 2007. The Jewish Museum Munich sees itself as a place of open discussion. The exhibitions offer insights into the diversity of Jewish life and topics for discussion on Jewish history, religion and culture. Feel free to talk to the guides in the museum if you have any questions. If desired, the guides will give in-depth insights into the exhibitions at the Jewish Museum Munich in short introductory tours.
