New Schloss Schleißheim is an impressive baroque building that was built in the 18th century and is part of the Schleißheim Palace ensemble, which also includes the Old Palace and the palace gardens. It is located north-west of Munich and originally served as the summer residence of the Bavarian electors.
The palace is characterised by its magnificent architecture and splendid interiors, including the large banqueting hall and the opulent staircase. The extensive French-style gardens surrounding the palace invite visitors to stroll and explore. The New Palace also houses various collections, including the museum collection of the Bavarian National Museum.
