The Musée Condé in the Château de Chantilly is a cultural jewel that captivates visitors interested in art and history. Located in the picturesque town of Chantilly, just a short train ride from Paris, the château houses an impressive collection of artworks, manuscripts and historical artefacts.

The Château de Chantilly is an idyllic place - surrounded by manicured parks, waterfalls, fountains, flowerbeds, English and Chinese gardens and numerous statues and sculptures. It was founded in the 14th century and has been remodelled and extended several times over the centuries. Today it is known for its unique blend of medieval architecture, Renaissance splendour and French landscaping. The Musée Condé, which is located in the castle, is best known for its outstanding collection of paintings, which is only surpassed in size by the famous Louvre. More than 1,000 paintings, 2,500 drawings, 2,500 engravings, 30,000 books, 12,000 old prints and more than 1,500 manuscripts fill the castle's corridors and rooms. The highlights include paintings by artists such as Raphael, Poussin, Delacroix and Ingres. In addition to the impressive art collection, the Château de Chantilly is also home to extensive gardens designed by André Le Nôtre, the famous landscape architect of Versailles.
