We visited Rome for the first time during the busy tourist season. The Rome City Pass provided entry to many attractions over 3 days which worked very well for us as we did not have to worry about queues to buy tickets and rush around. The advance reservation for some of the main attractions was made on the days that we requested and it saved us a lot of time.
We also opted for the airport shuttle bus transfer in the pass which made very easy for us to get to/from the city.
The Rome City Pass is a *must* have, especially during busy tourist seasons and when the weather is hot.
The pass allowed us to visit Rome without worrying about queues, the only downside for which turbopass is not responsible, the complexity of Roman bus lines. The pass has kept its promises of good value for money.
We were pleasantly and positively surprised at how well everything worked! Airport transfer: we arrived late in the evening by plane and were worried that we wouldn't be able to get a bus - but it was still there and would soon leave. Queueing? Not for us - we couldn't imagine that, but it always worked. We could always walk past the queue and were let in straight away. The pre-booked time slots were very convenient and worked well. The 90-minute tour, which is included in the Turbo Pass and was led by a very experienced guide, was particularly informative. We would use the Turbo Pass again at any time.
Saves long waiting times when buying individual tickets. The airport transfer on arrival went smoothly, and the same goes for the return journey. Pre-booking the tickets for the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums was particularly helpful. Because we booked at a fixed time, there was no waiting time at the entrance. Pre-booking is highly recommended, especially when you see the queues for tickets at the Vatican Museums. The price of the City Pass also includes the Hop On Hop Off Tour. The ticket is valid for 48 hours. The route passes all the major sights. The tour is ideal for getting your bearings and then spending the next few days exploring Rome's highlights on foot. I can thoroughly recommend buying a Rome City Pass.
We (2 adults & 2 teenagers) had a good experience with the Rome City Pass. All entrances including the Colosseum, Roman Forum & Vatican Museums as well as all other sights worked perfectly. You do have to get used to picking up the voucher beforehand (some of them). However, all the ladies and gentlemen were always friendly and helped us - in the ticket shop. The tickets were delivered by email on time.
For us, the Turbopass was worth it and we were able to visit all the sights. As I have written before, you have to pay attention to which sights you can visit directly with the Turbopass and for which (such as the Pantheon) you have to go to the tourist office beforehand. Otherwise, I would recommend that you do not enter the Vatican Museums or the Colosseum earlier than 20 minutes before your agreed time. And that the entrance to the Vatican (Vatican Museums) is not at St. Peter's Basilica, but quite a bit further around the corner. We were most impressed by St. Peter's Basilica (which is free). Don't let the queue put you off there. It goes relatively quickly and the view is worth the wait.
He got us tickets for the Colosseum and the Vatican, when they seemed to be no longer available. All the reservations made were without problems, some of them in the skip the line system. Changing the voucher for tickets at the Touristation information points is generally very easy, with the exception of the one in Piazza Navona, 25, which is a bit far from the Pantheon.
A special thanks to the team at Touristation Viale Vaticano 97, who saved our visit to the Vatican Museums. Since we lost the entrance tickets when passing through the security control, one of the young ladies from Touristation came very quickly inside the museum and brought us the reprinted tickets. 5 plus stars for the efficiency and care for tourists of this Touristation!
Everything worked! Be sure to book times for the Vatican and the Colosseum! Everything worked great and was very easy. Everything was adhered to. Despite the crowds, the queues weren't bad, everything went very quickly. A query about the service was answered immediately and in a friendly manner.
We got the pass for 3 days. It was great - tickets for the Vatican and the Colosseum + Forum were right, the time slot for the latter was a bit tight but you could have used it the next day. The ticket stations for the other sights and the Vatican are super close, there are places everywhere. At Castel Sant'Angelo there is a person directly opposite. You can get tickets for the Pantheon, catacombs etc. anywhere...Vatican tickets are directly opposite the waiting line. We loved the hop-on hop-off bus, there are enough stations that it leaves from and the ticket is valid for 2 days. No idea what problems the others have, it's totally incomprehensible

Basically it's great, as long as the local organizers - regardless of the Turbopass and depending on the season - also participate as they should. Customer service for questions etc. is really good, we are very satisfied. All in all it's a very good price for a family of four! We'd be happy to go again, but not in Rome!
We booked the Turbopass for 3 days for our city trip to Rome and were not disappointed. If you read through the detailed and clear information, you know exactly what to do. We specified time slots for the Vatican and the Colosseum, but were then informed that only later access was available for the Colosseum, which was not a problem at all. The staff from whom we had to collect tickets for the Pantheon, the Colosseum for children and the Castel Sant'Angelo, for example, were always very friendly and accommodating. All in all, great for a city trip, as you can save a lot of time and hassle.
I can only recommend a pass like this, it saves you a lot of time and you can explore more. It's easy to use and hassle-free routes with very friendly staff. For many people who don't know what Rome has to offer, it's a good compass to help you find your way around. The provider also has lots of helpers on site to guide you to the right place, and if you use the pass correctly, you'll save a lot of money. A tip: never forget your ID, it can be difficult without it, especially at the Colosseum!!!!!!! I particularly enjoyed the catacombs tour this time. There was a lot of information and, on top of that, a lot of fun with the driver and guide..........and there was a lot to see on the trip alone. It was simply stunningly beautiful again, Rome is always worth a trip, and the City Pass opens many doors.
We have bought Turbopasses for both Paris and Rome. This review is for the Rome pass. I found it to be extremely helpful to have and made the process of booking tours and ticket pickup easy. The vendors were very helpful and knowledgeable about the process and guided us. That assures me that Turbopass puts the client first. Which, when one is far from home and cannot speak the language of the city visited, that help is there. I recommend Turbopass highly.
Everything went very well. No waiting times. Unfortunately, the time we spent in Rome was not enough to experience everything that was included in the Rome City Pass.
We bought the Turbopass for our Rome city trip and were really happy with it. It included a lot: public transport tickets for the duration of our stay (bus, subway), skip-the-line tickets for the Vatican Museums, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Castel Sant'Angelo and much more, a 48-hour ticket for hop-on hop-off buses, etc. The tickets in particular were worth their weight in gold! At many attractions - especially the Vatican Museums - there was a huge queue in front of the ticket counters. The option of just going straight in without having to wait was great and saved us a lot of time. I did a rough calculation: if we had bought all the things we used with the Turbopass directly, individually and on site, it would have been just under €50 cheaper. I was very happy to invest these €50 in the time we saved. Great thing. I would do it again any time.
Great stuff. Everything worked out. Lots to read, but that's exactly how it was on site. The fast lines were particularly time-saving. It was also worth it financially. But I always received a precise answer to written inquiries on the same day. We are delighted.
