We found the compilation of the highlights to be very good. Some special sights were also explained through an audio commentary. We liked that. On site we had almost no problem with the recognition of the Turbopasse for admission tickets. We were at Castel Sant'Angelo, in the Pantheon, in the underground exhibitions at the Trevi Fountain and at Navona Square (very worth seeing), in the Baths of Caracalla and in the Multimedia Museum. We were unable to book the highlights Colloseum, Palatine, Roman Forum and Vatican Museums in advance due to busy schedules. We had booked for 7 days, which was also redeemed for bus, tram and metro. But it could have been cheaper locally. The ticket for the hop-on-hop-off bus was reduced to just 48 hours. So the Turbopass was convenient for us but expensive. Note: We had also booked tickets with GetYourGuide, but they turned out to be a flop on site.
- many entrance fees for sights included, potentially saving you long waiting times - easy to book and use
My son and I went on vacation with the Rome Turbopass. We had the pass for 5 days with an airport transfer, the Vatican Museums, a week's metro and bus card and the Colosseum with the Roman Forum. Sending and booking online worked perfectly - the Turbopass team not only spoke to me before we left, but also We were always there during our stay and answered all of our questions online straight away. Thank you very much for that! The queues in Rome were often shorter thanks to our Turbopass, but they didn't stop there.Unfortunately! We had the app (map of Rome) on our cell phone, but it was less helpful. We also had a bus timetable with Maps and so the app wasn't used much. The sights could also be better described in the app - like a city guide. Therefore, unfortunately only 4 stars - but I would book the Turbopass again at any time, as there is no annoying queuing for tickets - only queuing for entry! Thanks to the Turbopass team for your endless patience!!!
Parts of the delivery were late, but could be downloaded with a cell phone and could also use the entries without paper printing
In general, the city pass is a great thing. We basically didn't have to line up anywhere. Unfortunately, the employees were often difficult to find (Engelsburg) - especially if you've never done it before and don't know what the procedure is. Unfortunately, we were hardly able to save ourselves anything, even though we really looked at a lot of things from the pass. I wouldn't recommend the bus transfer as we had to wait a long time. The train would be better. It's just a little more expensive. Our 4-day pass with metro and bus transfer cost just under 150 euros and we saved almost 10 euros if you compare the entrance fees online. lg
Everything worked as described. You should only take out the hop on off bus offer. This bus runs very rarely and when it comes it is already full. This creates frustration. And that's not good, especially on vacation. Then it's better not to make this offer.
Everything worked well, I would have just preferred it if we had received the passport a little earlier, not a day before, but otherwise everything was great.
The pass has a lot of attractions on offer and everything worked very well. The only drawback are the hop on, hop off buses, as they were usually very overcrowded and waited too long at different stops.
Turbopass received on time, everything was described very well. The redemption on site was sometimes quite complicated. You have to look for an office where you can get vouchers that you can then exchange for the entrance ticket at the respective attraction. But since you have to reserve an appointment for the most important things and they are fully booked months in advance, the only option was a city pass. You should not take advantage of additional offers (airport transfer, public transport ticket). The redemption is very complicated (of the three redemption points specified, it was only possible at the newspaper kiosk at the train station). Since we didn't live near it, we had to spend a morning doing it! For the transfer it is better to take the train.
Excellent pass for Rome, vast variety of locations/museums to visit. The communication with the staff was very fast and productive.
Four stars only because you cannot add the pass to your phone and need to keep it on paper. After purchase you get the pass in pdf document. Yes, you can open the pdf from the phone but it is not so easy as if the pass was digital with QR code. If you use the pass as printed document, after a few days it gets very trashy and it is not convenient to use, if damaged, cannot be scanned easily. Please think in a way to make the pass digital.
The turbo pass was great especially if you get the “skip the line” tickets. We walked past hours of wait time, and walked right into the entrance in both the Vatican museums and the Coliseum. The only reason for not giving a five star review is that the transport passes had to be picked up in the center which means you have to plan your travel time around that. We were staying outside of the center and had busy plans early on. The place to get your local travel pass is only open during certain times. It would be much more beneficial to have those passes emailed. That way people will have them when the get there and not have to figure out where to buy tickets.
For Rome beginners like us, the Turbopass is a good option. But we would have gotten off cheaper without him. In addition, some important attractions are not included, such as the Villa Borghese Museum. So check beforehand what is important to you. Important: public transport tickets can no longer be picked up at Via della Conciliazione, 4, as stated in the description. We first had to take the hop on hop off bus to the main train station.
I purchased the Rome 4 day pass with added transport to the city and I’m so glad I did. I was skeptical after reading some negative reviews but my experience was really positive. We got the time bookings that we requested for the Vatican and Colloseum ( slight delay to receive the colloseum ones), and seeing the crazy queues on the days it was a no brainer that we had the passes. Collection for tickets was opposite the Vatican entrance, very convenient. Pantheon now needs to be booked which is a new thing but a member of Turbopass with tickets outside the building to collect. We did everything on our list and didn’t use it to the maximum but it was so convenient. Would recommend. The Hop on Hop off bus was very illusive and not available when we needed it but I used a Citymapper app and the buses were super easy to use . 1.5 € .
It would be great if the MaXXI was also there. Book an airport transfer as well, it's definitely worth it, public transport tickets aren't - they're cheaper locally where we were (end of October) there was a lot going on - so booking the Colosseum wasn't possible - then on site already and there were still two slots for the Vatican... but all in all it's worth it...
Once you learn how things worked especially if your like me never been there or done anything like that before it really save time
The city trip to Rome in conjunction with the Turbopass was very good. The included tickets and discounts were easy to use, questions via email were answered quickly and the service staff on site were friendly, competent and provided good support with the planning. Only the app function with the reference to “attractions in passing” did not work. Turbopass again next time!
It was very helpful to be able to visit the sights without waiting in line with the Turbopass.
We were able to enjoy the city to the fullest because we were well prepared thanks to the pass and didn't have to wait much in line. Great thing. There is one star less because we had ordered a tour of the Vatican in the morning and were then not informed that it was probably not available... It was only at short notice, when I asked Turbopass, that I found out that we had not been booked for anything the Vatican. At short notice, a late afternoon tour without a guide, with an audio guide, was arranged. Unfortunately there was no more light for the gardens.
The passport helped a lot. Picking up the tickets or meeting points by the tourist staff on site was a bit confusing. Free entry through the pass cannot be missed in 4 days. No queuing through the pass is great.
