The Chiesa di San Trovaso is an important church in the heart of Venice, which was built in honour of the martyr saints Gervasio and Protasio. Originally built in the first half of the 9th century, the church underwent numerous alterations, particularly between the 16th and 17th centuries. The architecture includes an impressive façade and a second façade along the canal to avoid conflicts between feuding families. Inside, there are numerous important works of art, including paintings by Giovanni Bellini and Domenico Tintoretto and an impressive organ by Gaetano Callido.
