The Chiesa di San Giovanni Elemosinario in Venice, originally built in the 9th century, was rebuilt together with the Rialto market after a fire in 1514. The current church is harmonious in its Renaissance style and houses important works by Titian and Pordenone, including the famous altarpiece by Titian depicting the Holy Family. The interior decoration was mainly donated by confraternities and artisan associations. Admission is free with the Venice City Pass.
