The National Archaeological Museum in Venice, also known as the ‘Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Venezia’, is an important museum in Venice. It is part of the State Museums of Venice and is dedicated to the presentation of archaeological finds and works of art from different eras and regions. The National Archaeological Museum was opened in the 16th century, making it one of the oldest museums in the city.

The museum is located in the impressive Palazzo Grassi, an 18th century building on the Grand Canal. The museum's collection includes a variety of artefacts, including ancient Greek, Roman and Egyptian artworks, sculptures, ceramics, coins and other archaeological finds. There is also an impressive collection of Egyptian mummies and coffins.

The National Archaeological Museum of Venice offers visitors the opportunity to explore the interesting history and culture of different civilisations and shows the links between Venice and the ancient world.   • Accessibility: Visitors with reduced mobility can use ramps and lifts inside the museum to access the exhibition rooms.
  • The museum is located on St Mark's Square, in the immediate vicinity of the Correr Museum, the Doge's Palace and St Mark's Basilica.
